Summer is quickly approaching, especially for those of us in the desert. We don’t go outside much once it starts to get over 105, but until then here are our summer must-haves! I have been looking for some new outdoor toys for the boys since they are older this year, so here are the 10 best outdoor toys for toddlers for summer 2021.

Sports Toys
I love having a variety of sports options for this kids to play with. Sports toys are great because they are timeless. They will always be in style. They work for both boys and girls. AND they are great toys that allow you to interact with your kiddos. Even if you aren’t a big sports person, sports are great to get all the kids energy out.
Water Toys
Water toys are SUPER important during summer, especially here in the desert! I actually don’t even take them outside if the activity does not have to do with water haha. We have a community pool in our neighborhood, but we like to use a little splash pool for the kids because it is so much easier when I want to take them swimming by myself. Neither Thomas (2 1/2 years) nor Hudson (15 months) can swim yet, so the blow up pools are great so they can play and splash still.
Sand Toys
We live a couple of hours from the beach and we have “dirt” here in the desert not much “sand.” Even so, my boys love to play with either. Here are some of our favorite summer sand toys.
Outdoor Kid Tables
An outdoor kid table is on our summer wish list! The boys are both finally old enough to get some use out of having an outdoor table. There are a few that I love. The Little Tikes table is great because it is plastic, so you can easily hose it off, and it will last FOREVER. However, I am also loving the wooden table look. My favorite is the Kid Kraft wooden table. It is just adorable, and it looks super comfy for the kids!
That’s my round up for the best outdoor toys for toddlers in 2021. Let me know in the comments below what your kid’s favorite outdoor toy is. You really don’t need much, but it’s always fun getting new activities and toys for the kids to use outside. Enjoy the summer and sunshine while you can!
